Dallas

One city, dozens of neighborhoods, each with its own answer.

Dallas is the metro's center of gravity, and it is less one housing market than dozens of them. Downtown and Uptown run vertical with high-rises and townhomes. East Dallas gathers around White Rock Lake with older homes and big trees. Oak Cliff and Bishop Arts carry historic bungalows and a walkable restaurant district. North Dallas and Lake Highlands stretch out in established single-family neighborhoods.

The Arts District downtown is the largest contiguous urban arts district in the country, and the Katy Trail threads Uptown with one of the busiest urban trails in Texas. DART light rail connects the core to the suburbs in every direction.

Because the neighborhoods differ this much, the honest first step in Dallas is rarely a listing search. It is a conversation about which version of Dallas fits the life you are building, and what the same budget looks like in each one.
